PDF Merger Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Local PDF processing

PDF Merger is a browser tool and Chrome extension published by Farhad Nabizada. Your selected PDF contents are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded, collected, sold, or transmitted to a PDF-processing server.

Local storage

Files you choose are stored in IndexedDB within your browser so the tool can restore your session. A separate localStorage flag records whether this browser has used its free Merge & Download. Files and the trial flag remain until you clear them, clear site data, or uninstall the extension. Website and extension storage are separate.

Accounts and payments

Sign-in uses Google OAuth through Supabase. Your email and account identifiers are stored to provide access. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives payment and billing details needed to complete checkout. After payment, our servers store entitlement records (for example purchase status and Stripe identifiers) so we can unlock the product. PDF file contents are not sent to Supabase or Stripe.

Network and analytics

The website may use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous page-view statistics. We do not intentionally send email addresses, payment IDs, filenames, or PDF contents to analytics. The website host may process ordinary connection information, such as IP address, request time, and browser details, to deliver and secure the site.

Extension permissions

When the licensed extension is connected, it contacts our website only to verify purchase status. It does not upload your PDFs. Pairing tokens are stored hashed on the server.

Local third-party libraries

PDF.js is used for previews, pdf-lib for page merging, and SortableJS for page ordering. These resources are served from the same website origin or bundled in the extension; no runtime CDN is used for PDF processing.
